Why can't TeeCal connect to my QuickBooks file when trying to sync on my Windows 10 computer?

We have had several customers experiencing this same issue after upgrading to Windows 10.  We have contacted Intuit several times about this issue and found out that the issue generally had to do with you running an older version of QuickBooks that is not supported on Windows 10.  

The recommendation from Intuit is to upgrade to QuickBooks 2015 or later when running on Windows 10.
